Edition 2025 — Erntedankfest Urdenbach

The 2025 Erntedankfest took place, as every year, on the first Sunday after Michaelmas at the Piels Loch festival grounds in Düsseldorf-Urdenbach. The parade on Sunday afternoon, roast ox, wheelbarrow races in traditional costume, and Blotschenball on Monday were again the highlights. Up to 40,000 visitors lined the streets of Urdenbach.

The 2025 edition once again offered the complete program of a classic Urdenbach Erntedankfest. The ABVU and district associations organized the parade with approx. 40 groups; the program ranged from the ecumenical service and roast ox to the Blotschenball on Monday. Tradition, community, and joie de vivre characterized the four-day festival – a remarkable example of village identity in a large city.
