The Erlanger Augustmarkt 2025 took place as usual for eight days in high summer on the Schlossplatz. With arts and crafts, regional specialties, and Erlanger Kreisbier, it attracted thousands of visitors – and formed the traditional framework for the parallel Poetenfest.
The 2025 edition continued the market tradition unbroken since 1694. On the baroque Schlossplatz, stalls with kitchen utensils, ceramics, jewelry, and specialties lined up – a reliable occasion for Erlangen's citizens to meet and for guests from the greater Nuremberg and Middle Franconia region to experience the historic city center.
As every year, the Augustmarkt and Erlanger Poetenfest coincided, a consciously cultivated interplay of market, literature, and summer city atmosphere.
