Overview

The 9th Erlangen Wine Festival took place in mid-May 2025, as usual, on Schlossplatz. Five days of Franconian wines, live music daily, and opening by the reigning Franconian Wine Queen. The festival definitively established itself as a fixture in the Franconian wine festival calendar – as a bridgehead between the growing regions and the Middle Franconian university city.

The 9th edition in 2025 continued the proven concept: Schlossplatz as the backdrop, opening by the reigning Franconian Wine Queen, around 40 Franconian wines, and daily live music in front of the historic Margrave's residence. The festival once again benefited from Ascension Day creating a long weekend and attracted visitors from the entire Nuremberg-Erlangen-Fürth metropolitan area.

The organizers remained the Erlangen Tourism and Marketing Association e.V. together with Zametzer & Krohn GbR. Following the 9th edition, preparations began for the 10th anniversary edition in 2026.
