Edition 2025 — Erfurt Wine Festival
The 33rd Erfurt Wine Festival 2025 attracted thousands of visitors to Erfurt's Domplatz for four days. Winemakers from German wine regions presented their vintages against the medieval backdrop, and the arts and crafts market on the weekend also drew visitors. The event once again confirmed its importance as a summer-early autumn highlight in Erfurt's cultural calendar.
The 2025 edition took place in the traditional timeframe of mid-September. As usual, Thursday and Friday opened in the afternoon, while Saturday and Sunday opened in the morning. The wine pass was particularly in demand in advance sales — the opportunity to compare several growing regions in one glass attracts wine lovers from Thuringia and the neighbouring states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Bavaria every year. The stage programme offered a mix of regional bands and national artists.
