Overview

The Erfurt Oktoberfest 2025 once again transformed the Domplatz into a Bavarian-Thuringian festival mile for over two weeks. With 50 rides, food stands, festival tents, and a family day every Wednesday, the festival attracted tens of thousands of visitors from Erfurt and the region. The Mariendom Cathedral and Severikirche Church provided the unmistakable backdrop for festival beer, roast chicken, and carousels.

2025 Review

The 2025 season continued the proven concept: opening at the end of September, Wiesn (Oktoberfest) atmosphere on 600 linear meters, festival tents with live music and DJs. The Wednesday Family Day once again proved to be a crowd-puller — many families from Erfurt and the surrounding area took advantage of the discounts for a relaxed Volksfest (traditional festival) afternoon. Good weather and mild late summer evenings ensured high visitor numbers.
