Overview

In August 2025, the Electric Horizon Festival once again transformed the Weldegarten in Plankstadt into an open-air venue for electronic music with three floors, Hardtechno, Trance, and 90s sets, a beach atmosphere, and an afterparty program. Thousands of fans from the Rhein-Neckar metropolitan region moved through the floors for 11 hours.

Festival 2025 in Plankstadt

In 2025, Basement Schwetzingen once again invited attendees to the Electric Horizon Festival at Weldegarten Plankstadt — a former brewery complex that becomes an electronic open-air festival site once every summer. Over three floors, more than 20 DJs presented sets ranging from Hardtechno, Techno, Trance, and the 90s Classics that are a tradition of the festival.

The beach atmosphere with palm trees, sandy areas, and chill zones, complemented by slush cocktails, food stalls, and on-site tattoo artists, made the festival more than just a rave event — more like a holistic summer festival with an electronic DNA. The official afterparty significantly extended the playing time beyond the 10 PM closing of the floors.
