Edition 2025 — Eldenaer Jazz Evenings
The 44th Eldenaer Jazz Evenings took place on July 4th and 5th, 2025, in the Eldena Monastery Ruins. Six concerts over two evenings featuring Insomnia Brass Band, Johanna Summer, The Emanias Project, Flying Kangaroos, and other acts. Admission at 6:15 PM each day, start at 7:30 PM.
The 2025 edition continued the festival tradition with six concerts over two evenings in the Gothic brick setting of Eldena. The opening on Friday, July 4th, 2025, was by the Insomnia Brass Band with a mix of Free Jazz, Funk, Punk Rock, and New Orleans Brass. This was followed by the German pianist Johanna Summer with her peculiar balance between technical precision and emotional depth. The conclusion of the first evening was by The Emanias Project.
On Saturday, July 5th, the Flying Kangaroos performed, among others. Despite changeable weather, the festival once again attracted jazz lovers from all over Germany and beyond to the monastery ruins.
