Overview

The 417th edition of the Eisfelder Kuhschwanzfest took place at Pentecost 2025. As every year, the festival was opened with the historical procession of Duke Johann Casimir, followed by five days with a historical market, children's festival, concerts, dance evenings in the festival tent, and the festival parade to conclude. The Pentecost festival in Eisfeld is registered in the intangible cultural heritage of Thuringia and once again attracted tens of thousands of visitors to the small town in southern Thuringia.

417th Eisfelder Kuhschwanzfest 2025

The Pentecost festival 2025 followed the established sequence developed over generations: opening with the Duke's procession, ongoing program items at Otto-Ludwig-Garten, Volkshausplatz, and in the market, the festival parade on the last day, and a grand fireworks display. The City of Eisfeld, the association for the promotion of the Eisfelder Kuhschwanzfest, and numerous clubs worked together again to keep the centuries-old tradition alive.
