Three-day autumn market with food stalls, rides, and Sunday shopping
The Einbeck Autumn Market traditionally takes place at the beginning of November, concluding the Bockbierstadt's autumn festival season. After the large Eulenfest (Owl Festival) in October, the Autumn Market is the smaller, more intimate market format – with the unbroken atmosphere of a classic folk festival.
At the market, visitors will find the full spectrum of a traditional folk festival. Food stalls offer bratwurst, potato pancakes, candied almonds, crêpes, and much more. Rides for children and adults provide entertainment. Fire-eaters and other showmen bring a show atmosphere to the medieval city centre.
Over 40 shops in Einbeck's city centre participate in the Sunday shopping. The combination of market atmosphere and shopping experience makes Sunday the strongest festival day. Families, couples, and groups use the day for an extended stroll through the city and market.
The Autumn Market marks the end of Einbeck's Bockbierstadt festival season – before attention turns to the Christmas village in December. The market is equally a meeting point for locals and an attraction for visitors from the wider region.
The 2026 edition of the Einbeck Autumn Market takes place on a weekend that coincides with the Reformation Day and All Saints' Day weekend – ideal for day trips.
The market offers the classic mix of culinary temptations, rides for the family, and showman performances.
