In August 2025, the popular Marktplatz-Kino Ehingen already took place — four evenings of open-air cinema on the historic market square, with a lounge, street food, and large crowds. Despite changeable summer weather, the festival proceeded without cancellations; memorable were the well-attended family film evenings and a full market square until midnight.

Marktplatz-Kino Ehingen 2025

The Marktplatz-Kino 2025 has once again confirmed its established place in Ehingen's summer calendar. Four evenings of open-air cinema, a well-attended lounge area, and the usual diverse film program have contributed to the festival attracting numerous families, cinephiles, and summer lovers each year.

The historic market square in front of the Liebfrauenkirche is the heart of the event: as the sun slowly sets and the projector casts images onto the large screen, an atmosphere is created that only an open-air cinema in a historic town can produce. In 2025, Ehinger Popcorn was once again served — the festival's culinary trademark — and local food trucks provided the audience with street food.
