Overview

The Duisburg CSD 2025 took place on July 26 — with raising of the rainbow flag at the Town Hall, demonstration through the city center, and street festival at Averdunkplatz. DUPride e.V. organized the day with support from the city, associations, and sponsors. The politically strong motto addressed the increasing attacks against queer people in Germany.

The 2025 CSD in Duisburg followed the standard format — flag raising at the Town Hall, demonstration through the city center with an intermediate rally at the Lehmbruck Museum, and street festival at Averdunkplatz. The political focus in 2025 was on the increasing anti-queer violence in Germany and the demand for better school and youth work on LGBTIQ* issues. Thousands of participants in the demonstration.

Programme

In 2025, the same demonstration route was followed as planned for 2026 — flag raising at the Town Hall, 2.5 km through the city center with an intermediate rally at the Lehmbruck Museum, endpoint Averdunkplatz with a street festival. Stage program with queer acts from the region.
