Duisburg Carnival — Rosenmontagszug

Carnival Season 2024/25 in Duisburg

In 2025, carnival in Duisburg was again organised decentrally and on a voluntary basis: the main procession on Rosenmontag from the Innenhafen, an after-show party in the festival tent, and six district processions between Blutwurstsonntag and Rosenmontag. As always, organised by the Hauptausschuss Duisburger Karneval and the carnival societies of each district.

Classic carnival floats, dance groups, and several local music clubs participated in the district processions. Despite partly unsettled weather, the processions drew thousands of revellers into the city centre and along the routes in Meiderich, Hamborn, and Homberg/Moers. The after-show party at the festival tent at the goods station gathered carnival friends until late in the evening, and accompanying events like “Rosenmontag Total” at the venue “viersieben” were, as always, well attended.
