Overview
In 2025, Zirkel Events once again invited visitors to the Kite Festival on Ordinger Strand on the last weekend of June: three days of giant kites, stunt kites, and cartoon characters over the Wadden Sea. With a flying school, ground animation, and food stalls — a family highlight in the St. Peter-Ording event calendar.
The 2025 edition followed the established three-day format. Professionals and hobby kite flyers from Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands used the event grounds on Ordinger Strand. The conditions were, as is often the case in June on the North Sea, reliable — a persistent westerly breeze made the kites over the two-kilometer-wide beach a widely visible spectacle.
Admission, as every year, was free with a spa card; parking was available at the Ordinger Strand car park for a fee.
