Overview

In 2025, the Vatterode Village Festival again ran parallel to the riding and driving days and the summer operating season of the park railway. As every year, villagers, equestrian sports fans, and railway enthusiasts gathered on the last weekend of July to celebrate the Mansfeld summer in its most traditional form.

The 2025 festival weekend took place on July 26th and 27th. As in previous years, the park railway, village festival, and riding and driving tournament ran in parallel, creating a typical Vatterode summer program with a high proportion of family activities.

On the Schulstraße festival grounds, there was a festival tent, barbecue, and children's games, while at the former Wippergrund sports field, there was riding, driving, and carriage demonstrations. The park railway handled the shuttle service on both days and was once again one of the most popular attractions for the youngest visitors.
