Celebrating Community in Rövershagen

The Dorffest Rövershagen is the annual summer festival of the municipality of Rövershagen in the Rostock district of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Rövershagen is located on the edge of the Rostocker Heide and is considered the gateway to the extensive forest area between the Hanseatic city of Rostock and the Baltic Sea coast. The village festival focuses on the togetherness of the village community.

Supported by Two Clubs

The festival is jointly organized by the sports club SV 47 Rövershagen and the leisure and cultural club LandZeit in Rövershagen e.V. Both clubs shape the community life of the town and host the Dorffest on the festival grounds. The voluntary commitment of the members is the foundation of the festival.

Music, Entertainment, and Gastronomy

A program of music and entertainment awaits guests on the festival grounds. Regional gastronomy provides visitors with food and drinks. The Dorffest consciously avoids grand staging – it thrives on the relaxed atmosphere, meeting neighbors again, and celebrating together in the village.

720 Years of Rövershagen

Since 2025, the Dorffest has been combined with the municipality's anniversary. Rövershagen was founded in 1305 and celebrated its 720th anniversary in 2025. The anniversary gives the Dorffest an additional festive character and highlights the long history of the place on the edge of the Rostocker Heide.

Getting There

Rövershagen is located on the B105 between Rostock and Ribnitz-Damgarten and is easily accessible by car and train. The festival grounds are centrally located in the village.
