In the Heart of the Altmühltal

Kinding is a Bavarian market town in the Eichstätt district, picturesquely located between the Altmühl and Anlauter rivers, right in the middle of the Altmühltal Nature Park. The market consists of numerous districts, including Haunstetten – a small village with a traditional club structure, where the Landjugend (rural youth) has played an important role in community life for years.

The Landjugend as Organizers

The Landjugend Haunstetten is one of the liveliest youth groups in the market town of Kinding. They organize the village festival independently, from preparation and catering to dismantling on the festival Sunday. The annual event is the group's most important source of income and, at the same time, a showcase of their club activities. It brings together parents, siblings, and neighbors from Kinding and the surrounding districts of Enkering, Kirchanhausen, Erlingshofen, and Pfraundorf.

Program: Lunch, Coffee, Evening

The festival starts with a warm lunch – usually hearty traditional Bavarian home cooking like pork roast, dumplings, and sauerkraut. In the afternoon, the coffee and cake phase follows with homemade cakes from the Landjugend members and their families. A small supporting program for children provides family entertainment before the festival transitions into the social part in the evening – with dinner and relaxed socializing until late at night.
