In 2025, FestLand e.V. once again staged a major opera production for an enthusiastic audience in the 80-soul village of Klein Leppin. Four performances, approx. 800 spectators per show, and a concluding music brunch on Sunday morning once again proved the viability of the village opera model maintained since 2006 in the Prignitz.

Dorf macht Oper 2025 — Review

The 2025 season concluded with another successful opera production by FestLand e.V., laying the groundwork for the big anniversary year in 2026. As usual, the season was characterized by a high proportion of volunteers from the region — farmers, teachers, retirees, and students ensured setup, catering, ticket handling, and volunteer coordination. Four performances, Sunday brunch, and the close connection between professional music and village logistics once again made the summer in Klein Leppin, Prignitz, a highlight of the Brandenburg festival scene.
