Overview
Prior to the premiere of the Donautal-Wandertrio in 2026, the Donautal Hiking Days were held in the region as a predecessor format. Guided hikes through the floodplain forest, the Danube Valley, and the Swabian Jura characterized the program.
The Donautal-Wandertrio in 2026 succeeds the Donautal Hiking Days, which took place in previous years in the Swabian Danube Valley. In this predecessor format, the districts of Dillingen and Günzburg offered numerous guided hikes through the floodplain forest, the Danube Valley, and along the Swabian Jura. Hundreds of hiking enthusiasts participated in these nature-oriented tours. The experiences from the Donautal Hiking Days form the basis for the expanded Donautal-Wandertrio format from 2026 onwards.
