Overview

The 2025 Dommarkt took place, as is traditional, following the Ceremonial Matriculation of the University of Greifswald on the Domplatz. Student associations, cultural institutions, and city offices were represented, and the mayor and rector ceremonially tapped the beer keg.

The 2025 edition once again marked the festive start to the new academic year in the Hanseatic city of Greifswald. After the university's Ceremonial Matriculation in St. Nikolai Cathedral, the mayor, together with the rector, opened the Dommarkt with the traditional ceremonial beer tapping.

On the Domplatz, Asta, the student union, university sports, Asta initiatives, cultural institutions, and city offices presented themselves with stalls. Free bicycle coding by the police offered a practical welcome gesture for the first-year students. DJ music created a relaxed atmosphere.
