Edition 2021 — Döbeln Home Festival
The 11th Döbeln Home Festival took place in June 2021 under the theme '1040 Years of Döbeln'. The festival occurs every five years — the 2021 edition was significantly scaled back due to the pandemic. The parade, concerts on the Klosterwiese meadow, and the Muldeninsel programme took place under hygiene conditions.
The 11th edition in 2021 was marked by the Corona pandemic — many classic programme items were carried out in a reduced form or postponed. The parade could take place, as could some concerts and open-air events under the protective measures then in force. The class reunions were partly held on a small scale. Despite the restrictions, the 2021 Home Festival remained an important point of identification for Döbeln and its former residents — and was resumed in full scope with the edition planned for 2026.
