Overview

The 2025 DLRG/NIVEA Beach Festival in Hörnum on Sylt once again brought families from all over the island to the East Beach for a free festival with education and games. Three hours of program, the family format further established itself as a popular summer event on the DLRG-NIVEA tour.

Review of the 2025 DLRG/NIVEA Beach Festival

In 2025, the DLRG/NIVEA tour also stopped on Sylt — at Hörnum's East Beach, with the established three-hour format of bouncy castle, swimming rules quiz, rescue equipment testing, and first-aid demonstrations. Up to 1,000 blue beach balls were distributed to families.

The event once again confirmed the value of the format: free, accessible, playful — and with real safety benefits. Parents who participated with their children went home with the awareness that the DLRG swimming rules are not abstract prohibitions, but life-saving rules of conduct that can be learned playfully. The Sylt tourism community continued to support the DLRG-NIVEA event as part of its summer family offerings.
