Overview

The Dixieland Days at Lesumhafen once again offered three days of open-air jazz with free admission in 2025. Organizer Lutz Hößelbarth presented a broad program with bands from Bremen and Northern Germany, ranging from classic New Orleans Jazz to Hawaiian Hotswing.

In 2025, the Dixieland Days took place again on the last weekend of August. Organizer H&W weserevents, led by Lutz Hößelbarth, stuck to the proven formula: six bands, three days, free admission, and a maritime atmosphere at the harbor.

The audience ranged from long-time jazz regulars to strolling families who stopped by spontaneously. The Sunday morning pint ('Frühschoppen') traditionally drew the largest crowd, while the laser show on Saturday evening added a modern touch. Stalls from local restaurateurs and clubs complemented the music program.
