2025 Retrospective — Impressive Torchlight Procession
The 2025 edition of Dezemberträume Rahden took place as usual on the 1st Advent weekend and was subsequently continued in a reduced form until the end of December. A special memory is the torchlight procession with youth fire brigades, local musicians, and Christmas characters, which cast a special spell over the town in the candlelight for the 1st Advent.
As in previous years, the illuminated church square of St. Johannis, the handicraft stalls of local vendors, the club stalls with charitable proceeds, and the small music program with local Rahden musicians characterized the event. The extended market until December 30 confirmed its concept as an Advent extension — stalls remained open even after Christmas, providing an unusually long Advent atmosphere. The organizer is Gewerbebund Rahden e.V.
