In 2025, »Deutschland singt und klingt« also took place on German Unity Day, October 3rd. Nationwide, people gathered in streets and market squares for communal singing.
At Alteglofsheim Castle in the district of Regensburg, the event was hosted as part of the Bavarian Music Academy. As everywhere in the country, ten songs of various styles were sung together simultaneously in the evening – a unifying sonic experience in the spirit of freedom, unity, and hope.
