Overview

In 2025, "Der Krater Bebt" again brought three days of cross-genre programming to the Nördlinger Ries. Around 1,000 visitors came to the festival meadow in Megesheim to experience bands from rock, pop, and indie under the open sky. Krater Kultur e.V. once again continued the DIY club tradition that has shaped the festival since 1989.

The 2025 edition of "Der Krater Bebt" once again confirmed its position as the most important open-air festival in the Nördlinger Ries. In the shadow of the geologically unique meteorite crater, around 1,000 music fans from Southern Germany met for three days of live programming, camping, and club festival atmosphere.

Krater Kultur e.V. has kept the festival alive for over 35 years as a club project — supported almost entirely voluntarily, with fair admission and a program that combines cross-genre acts from rock, pop, and indie every year. The festival meadow on Munninger Weg is one of the most charming open-air locations in the Donau-Ries.
