Overview

In 2025, the Kukedeeler Speeldeel also presented a spring production on the theatre stage in the former Rügge schoolhouse — typically three performances over a weekend in April, in the usual Low German folk theatre style. Free admission, reservations recommended. The ensemble rehearsed over the winter and has a loyal audience from Rügge and the surrounding area.

The 2025 season continued the established spring format: a weekend with three performances in the Old Schoolhouse, free admission. The Kukedeeler Speeldeel thus maintains a tradition that is cherished in many villages in Schleswig-Holstein between winter and spring — the volunteer theatre ensemble rehearses during the winter months, followed by the performance series in the spring.

As every year, the audience consisted of villagers from Rügge, guests from surrounding communities, and visitors to Angeln who deliberately seek out Low German theatre. The performances remained well-attended — despite the village's size.
