Overview
The second edition of the Dammerbergstraße Neighborhood Festival in May 2025 once again brought together neighbors, friends, and interested parties at freiRaum Dammi 14. The garden with its playground and log cabin, as well as Dammerbergstraße, which was transformed into a play street, offered space for a cross-generational afternoon program. Organized by Stadtteilmarketing Hemelingen together with Vonovia and the MOBILE Familienzentrum, the festival with free admission confirmed its role as a vibrant expression of open neighborhood work in eastern Bremen and strengthened cohesion in the community.
The 2025 edition followed the concept of encounter: an open neighborhood festival in the garden of freiRaum Dammi 14, where Dammerbergstraße became a play street. Children played, adults chatted, and generations connected. As part of the year-round district project Dammi 14 and supported by Stadtteilmarketing Hemelingen with Vonovia and the MOBILE Familienzentrum, the festival remained a low-threshold, warm meeting place for all of Hemelingen.
