31st Edition of the Spring Market

The Dammer Töpfermarkt in spring is organized by Kunst+Kultur-Kreis Damme e.V. as a smaller sister event to the large September Töpfermarkt. While the September market, with around fifty exhibitors, sets the major occasion, the spring market focuses on the intimate atmosphere of the Scheune Leiber. The 31st edition in 2026 demonstrates that this format has also been successfully curated for over three decades.

Scheune Leiber as the Exclusive Venue

Unlike the September market, which extends across several squares in Damme's town center, the spring market takes place exclusively in the Scheune Leiber. This concentration on one location creates a special ambiance: the old half-timbered barn with its high ceiling, wooden beams, and filtered light atmosphere provides a fitting setting for the exhibited ceramic works and craft objects.

Curated Selection of North German Workshops

The selection of exhibitors follows the same quality criteria as the September market. North German potteries and craft businesses from Lower Saxony, Bremen, Hamburg, and Schleswig-Holstein present their spring and summer collections. The range includes stoneware tableware and porcelain, garden ceramics, jewelry, felt, glass, and textiles.

Spring Market with its Own Profile

The spring date at the end of May has its own profile: garden ceramics, planters, and outdoor objects play a larger role than at the September market because the gardening season has just begun. Jewelry and fashion items with spring motifs are also preferably presented.
