The 12th Damenviertelfest Jena took place on May 1, 2025, in Sophienstrasse. Traditional Maypole raising, live music, theatre, open-house initiatives, and a diverse children's programme marked the street festival of Jena's Damenviertel.
Previous Edition 2025
The 12th Damenviertelfest 2025 continued the tradition of the May Day street festival in the Damenviertel. The Maypole raising at 11 a.m. opened the day. Brass music, DJ sets, theatre by Freie Bühne Jena, the open house of the Trafo cultural centre, a book flea market, a bouncy castle, the Stelzenfee, and bratwurst stalls made May Day in the neighbourhood a relaxed meeting point for residents and guests from all over Jena.
