"Heimat shoppen" is a nationwide initiative that the "Aktionskreis Daaden e.V." has been successfully organizing in the small Westerwald town for several years. The goal is to strengthen awareness of the importance of local retail while simultaneously establishing an attractive town festival format.

Two Days of City Center Revitalization

On one weekend in September, Daaden's city center shops open with special offers, tastings, and small tokens of appreciation. In parallel, market stalls are set up, catering areas are established, and a stage program is organized. The city center transforms into a continuous festival mile, inviting visitors to stroll, linger, and enjoy.

"Aktionskreis Daaden" as the Driving Force

The "Aktionskreis Daaden e.V." organizes the weekend. This association of business owners, restaurateurs, and clubs has been the driving force behind revitalizing Daaden's city center for years – they also organize other markets and festivals, such as the Martinsmarkt in November.

Town Festival Character
