Overview

In 2025, the queer community of Mülheim an der Ruhr also gathered for Christopher Street Day on Stonewall Memorial Day. Organized by the alliance of SVLS e.V., Queer Sohbet, the alliance “Mülheim stellt sich quer”, and the City of Mülheim, the CSD was a political statement in times of growing anti-queer currents.

CSD Mülheim 2025

CSD Mülheim 2025 continued the tradition of Mülheim's Christopher Street Day on Stonewall Memorial Day. Alliance partners SVLS e.V., Queer Sohbet, the anti-right-wing alliance “Mülheim stellt sich quer”, and the City of Mülheim coordinated the demonstration from the main station to Regenbogenplatz. The city leadership also hoisted the rainbow flag on the town hall tower in 2025 — a visible sign of municipal solidarity appreciated by Mülheim's queer community. The 2025 edition laid the groundwork for the 2026 season with the motto “Loud & Proud”.
