Overview

Hamburg Pride 2025 once again drew around 250,000 participants to the city center. Pride Week, the three-day street festival, and the major CSD demonstration on August 2 created a powerful statement for queer visibility and against growing hostility. The main rally with politicians, community representatives, and artists took place on Rathausmarkt.

Hamburg Pride 2025 took place from July 26 to August 3. As in previous years, the Pride Week, the three-day street festival between Jungfernstieg and Ballindamm, and the major CSD demonstration on Saturday formed the backbone of the festival.

Around 250,000 participants from all over Europe followed the demonstration through the city center. The Kampnagel theater hosted the Pride Night with the awarding of the Pride Awards, and the Pride House in St. Georg offered free workshops, readings, and networking events. Political speeches on Rathausmarkt addressed queer-phobic violence and the shift to the right in Europe.
