Overview

The CSD Erlangen 2025 took place on Saturday, September 20, 2025. As in previous years, demonstration marches with floats, walking groups, and queer associations wound through Erlangen's city center, followed by a political rally and street festival at Schlossplatz. Several thousand participants from the entire Middle Franconia region were present.

The 2025 edition followed the annual tradition of Erlangen's CSD. The demonstration, rally, and street festival adhered to the proven concept: visibility of queer people in the public space of the Huguenot city, clear political messages for the expansion of Article 3 of the Basic Law and for the funding of queer support structures, as well as cultural gathering with music and performances at Schlossplatz.

The festival concept has gradually established itself since its first edition in 2019. Several thousand participants once again demonstrated that CSD Erlangen has long had supra-regional significance in the Franconian Pride calendar — as a complement to Nuremberg's CSD and with its own profile as a smaller, very clearly positioned event in terms of local politics.
