Overview

In 2025, a major Crescentia pilgrimage took place from Steingaden to Kaufbeuren, organized by the Landvolkgemeinschaft Schongau as part of the KLB. The start was on Pentecost Monday, June 9, 2025, at 3:00 AM from Steingaden market square. After several stages, the pilgrims reached Kaufbeuren in the morning.

The 2025 Pentecost Monday pilgrimage from Schongau began at 3:00 AM from Steingaden market square. Shortly before 7:00 AM, the pilgrims passed the Rettenbach Maypole, and around 10:30 AM, they reached the Mooshütte. The tour was organized by Martin Lang (Landvolkgemeinschaft Schongau).

This KLB pilgrimage, as well as the traditional September pilgrimage day by the Bidingen-Biessenhofen parish communities, demonstrates the strong roots of Crescentia veneration in the Allgäu region. The Crescentia Convent in Kaufbeuren – today a pilgrimage site and memorial – is where the various pilgrimages converge.
