Overview

The Corpus Christi procession in Obertrubach took place in 2025 on Thursday, June 19. Festive mass in the parish church of St. Laurentius, followed by a traditional procession through the decorated parish village with four station altars and a Frühschoppen at the community center. One of the central religious festivals of Franconian Switzerland.

In 2025, the Corpus Christi procession in Obertrubach once again followed the centuries-old tradition. The houses along the route were decorated with birch branches and flowers, the communion children accompanied the monstrance, and the local music band played hymns. At four station altars – each set up by residents and clubs – the procession paused for Gospel readings and blessings.

After the procession, parishioners gathered for the traditional Frühschoppen at the community center. The day combined religious liturgy with social gathering, once again strengthening the close bond between the parish and the village community in Franconian Switzerland.
