Overview

In 2025, the parish of St. Georg Pfakofen also celebrated the high feast of Corpus Christi on Thursday, June 19, with a festive service, followed by a procession through the village and a parish festival in the parish garden. As in previous years, brass band music, First Communicants, the Marian Men's Congregation, and local associations accompanied the solemn procession to the four outdoor altars.

The 2025 Corpus Christi festival in Pfakofen followed the familiar pattern of previous years: a festive service in the Parish Church of St. Georg, followed by a procession with the Blessed Sacrament through the decorated streets of the community, stops at four lovingly prepared outdoor altars, and the Eucharistic blessing. Afterwards, the parish community gathered in the parish garden for a convivial parish festival, organized by the Parish Pastoral Council and the Marian Men's Congregation. The day once again confirmed its role as an important communal highlight in the annual cycle of the Catholic parish in the district of Regensburg.
