The Christmas market at St. Mary's Cathedral 2025 ran for 10 days in early to mid-December, attracting thousands of visitors from Fürstenwalde and the region with the unique brick backdrop of the Gothic cathedral. 29 stalls, stage with live bands, mulled wine, and family activities.

The proven format worked again in 2025: market stalls around the cathedral, a stage with live music, family activities like ice stock sport and a children's train. The atmosphere against the brick backdrop of the cathedral is one of the strongest brand features of this Christmas market — no other in Brandenburg has a similarly impressive setting (with the exception of Potsdam and Brandenburg an der Havel).

The ten-day duration allows the city of Fürstenwalde to use the event as a tourist showcase and also attract day-trippers from Berlin and the state of Brandenburg.
