Overview

In 2025, the Christmas market at the Maste-Barendorf Museum Village once again attracted visitors from the Sauerland region to Iserlohn-Barendorf over two Advent weekends. Crafts in historic factory buildings, live demonstrations in glassblowing and rope making, and the newly opened Needle Museum as a premiere — one of the most atmospheric Advent markets in the region.

The 2025 edition brought a premiere: the newly established Needle Museum opened its doors for the first time, complementing the existing museum program. In terms of content, the format remained proven: craft stalls in the half-timbered houses, live demonstrations in historic workshops, and music with brass and choral ensembles.

The Museums of the City of Iserlohn once again showed that historical industrial heritage and atmospheric Christmas markets can be wonderfully combined. The concept has proven itself since 1996 and attracts visitors from the entire Märkischer Kreis and beyond.
