Christmas Market in the European Capital of Culture Year 2025

In 2025, the Chemnitz Christmas Market took place within the special framework of Chemnitz, European Capital of Culture. Over 200 stalls with Ore Mountains folk art, the Ore Mountains Village with its 20m high accessible pyramid, and the medieval Monastery Christmas once again characterized the city center around the Town Hall.

The opening on the last Saturday of November by the Lord Mayor heralded the season; the Chemnitz Mining Parade also marked the start of the Ore Mountains mining parade season.
