Charity Kids Festival Geinsheim — 10th Anniversary

The Charity Kids Festival is one of the most original Palatinate summer festivals — a deliberately regionally rooted event whose complete proceeds benefit children's charities. The 2026 edition is particularly festive as the festival celebrates its 10th anniversary.

The festival takes place from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st June 2026 on the sports field of SV 1920 Geinsheim, a Palatinate club in Neustadt's southernmost district. Geinsheim is located a little off the beaten track from the well-known wine villages on the Haardt ridge and shapes a special festival atmosphere with its rural character.

Friday 19th June opens with a comedy mix show: Boris Stijelja, René Weintz and other stand-up comedians present an evening-filling programme. Afterwards, the Palatinate cover band "Dicken Kinder Band" performs — a self-ironic name that alludes to the family and charity character of the festival.

Saturday 20th June is the big Palatinate music night with five regional bands: Straight Up, Weinstraße 99, Pfälzer Frühgrumbeere, Anonyme Giddarischde and Woifeschdkönisch. The band names — from "Pfälzer Frühgrumbeere" (early potatoes) to the "Anonyme Giddarischde" (guitarists) and the "Woifeschdkönisch" (wine festival kings) — are already a Palatinate statement of identity and play pop, rock and schlager hits in the Palatinate dialect.

Sunday 21st June is designed as a free family festival — a deliberately low-threshold day that invites families from all over the region. Highlights include walking acts in costumes from the Marvel, DC and Star Wars universes, offering an unforgettable experience for children. Games, interactive activities and family catering complement the programme.

Tickets for the concert days Friday and Saturday are available in advance for €20 each. The entire proceeds go to children's projects — for ten years, Charity Kids Festival has been successfully raising funds for children in need in the region and beyond.
