Overview
The 2025 Burgweihnacht was spread, as usual, over four Advent weekends between late November and mid-December. The medieval moated castle attracted families from the Eifel and Rhineland with nativity plays, children's workshops, the traditional boot filling every Saturday at 3 PM, and ~60 carefully selected exhibitors.
The 2025 edition continued the established festival concept of nativity plays, a workshop for children, boot filling, and a curated artisan market. Burg Satzvey thus remains one of the most atmospheric historical Christmas markets in NRW.
Programme
Four Advent weekends with nativity plays several times daily, boot filling Sat 3 PM, children's workshops in the Christmas Workshop, and gingerbread painting in the castle bakery. Archive: burgsatzvey.de.
