Overview

The 15th Burglengenfeld Civic Festival 2023 took place from Friday, August 18, to Sunday, August 20, in the historic old town. Three festival days, seven stages, and over 70 performances from various genres transformed the old town into a huge open-air festival backdrop. As the Civic Festival only takes place every three years, 2023 was the edition immediately preceding the 2026 event.

The 15th edition in 2023 confirmed the festival's special status within the three-year cycle. Stages at Europaplatz, the parking garage (alternative music), St.-Veit-Platz (youth acts), as well as Unterer Markt and Pithiviers-Brücke (local and regional bands) were spread throughout the old town. Over 70 bands provided a packed program over three days.

The festival underscored its regional appeal in the Burglengenfeld–Teublitz–Maxhütte-Haidhof tri-city area. Due to the three-year cycle, there was no edition in 2024 or 2025 as per schedule.
