Overview

The 62nd Burgfestwoche Bad Belzig attracted several tens of thousands of visitors to the district town in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district at the end of August 2025. For a week, concerts, sports competitions, the soapbox derby, and art exhibitions shaped the cityscape around Burg Eisenhardt.

The 2025 Burgfestwoche continued the tradition that has grown since 1960, transforming Bad Belzig into a lively festival ground for a week. Sports competitions such as table tennis and stock-schießen, the traditional soapbox derby, and the grand festival parade were among the highlights of the festival week.

On the last weekend of August, the 23rd Altstadtsommer crowned the event with a large town festival in the historic old town. Live music, a craft market, children's activities, and regional gastronomy attracted visitors from Berlin, the Fläming, and all of Brandenburg. Thus, the Burgfestwoche once again proved to be one of the most important summer festivals in the state of Brandenburg.
