In 2025, the Summer Festival of the Landestheater Oberpfalz once again featured Leuchtenberg Castle and other historical venues in the region, presenting around eight productions in approximately 100 performances. The festival reaffirmed its status as one of Bavaria's largest open-air theatre festivals, attracting around 30,000 spectators with a diverse repertoire ranging from world literature to comedies and children's plays in dialect.

The 2025 season continued the established decentralized concept: the main stage at Leuchtenberg Castle, complemented by venues such as Friedrichsburg Castle and the Schönbergbühne. With around eight productions in approximately 100 performances for about 30,000 spectators, the Landestheater Oberpfalz confirmed its position as one of Bavaria's major theatre festivals and prepared the programme for 2026.
