The 2025 Castle Festival in Bad Liebenstein took place as usual in the castle ruins. Saturday evening live music, Sunday Family Day with morning pint (Frühschoppen) and brass band music — the proven concept of the Natur- und Heimatfreunde e. V. association. The unique backdrop of the medieval castle ruins above the spa town attracted visitors from the Wartburg district and the Thuringian Forest region.
Bad Liebenstein Castle Festival 2025
The 2025 edition confirmed the proven format of the castle festival: Saturday evening live music in the historical setting, Sunday Family Day with morning pint (Frühschoppen) and brass band music starting at 10:00 AM. The Natur- und Heimatfreunde Bad Liebenstein, who voluntarily maintain the castle ruins, once again organized an authentic local festival. The view from the castle ruins over the Thuringian Forest makes the festival weekend more than just a folk festival — it is also a nature experience.
