An Idea with Charm

The Bürgerfrühstück is a simple yet effective idea: instead of spending the Sunday quiet alone, residents of the municipality meet at a long table outdoors and enjoy an extensive breakfast together. The event is organized by the municipality of Baddeckenstedt, with setup supported by local clubs.

Long Table in the Town Center

Families, seniors, club members, newcomers, and long-time residents alike gather at long rows of tables. Those who wish bring bread, rolls, cold cuts, cheese, jam, fruit, or homemade cake. Coffee, tea, and juice are provided. A colorful buffet emerges from everything the participants wish to share – a classic 'Bring & Share' concept that visibly celebrates community.

Encounter and Strengthening of Village Community

Beyond shared meals, the Bürgerfrühstück serves for exchange. Clubs present their work, initiatives promote participation projects, and politics and administration are available for discussions. The informal atmosphere makes it easy to strike up conversations and build connections that enrich life in the municipality.
