The 43rd Bürgerfest Waldsassen took place on July 6, 2025. As always on the first Sunday in July, the three brass bands opened the festival on Johannisplatz; the festival mile stretched from the Stiftsbasilika to Schwanenwiese.

The 2025 Bürgerfest in Waldsassen took place on Sunday, July 6, 2025. The traditional opening at 11 AM was the star march by the Münchenreuther Bauernkapelle, the Stadtkapelle Waldsassen, and the Stiftländer Jugend- und Blaskapelle on Johannisplatz, accompanied by the piece “Larida”.

On the festival mile between Basilikaplatz, Johannisplatz, Kunstgasse, Prinzregent-Luitpold-Straße, and Stadtpark Schwanenwiese, Waldsassen clubs, businesses, and restaurateurs presented themselves. The stage program, children's area, and culinary stands once again made the day one of the most important town festivals in the Stiftland. Free admission.
