Overview

The 2025 season at Burg Cadolzburg followed the established format: season opener with Live Sword Art at Pentecost, summer concerts in the castle courtyard, open-air cinema weekend in August (Castle Film Nights), medieval castle revival in September, and an autumn market with craft demonstrations at the end of September. Organizer: Bavarian Administration of Palaces, Gardens and Lakes.

In 2025, the Bavarian Administration of Palaces, Gardens and Lakes again hosted events at Burg Cadolzburg with a program lasting about six months — from May to October, featuring consistently around eight public events. The duo mélange and the ensemble Nürnberg Barock are among the regular concert guests, and medieval groups like the Nürnberger Aufgebot 1474 are staples of the September castle revival.

The castle, along with other Middle Franconian Hohenzollern sites (Plassenburg Kulmbach, Festung Rosenberg Kronach), is part of a cultural tourism network that showcases the Prussian-Franconian Hohenzollern history. The experience museum 'HerrschaftsZeiten! Erlebnis Cadolzburg' was also regularly open throughout the year in 2025 and served as the venue for most events.
