Overview
In the spring of 2025, the Kite Festival once again transformed the Familienlagune Perlebucht into a colorful kite sky. For three days, large kites rose over Büsum beach, the kite ferry rained down sweets — a crowd-puller for North Sea vacationers and families from Dithmarschen.
In 2025, the Büsum Kite Festival once again attracted thousands of visitors to the Watt'n Insel. The Familienlagune Perlebucht opened its gates daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — with changeable spring weather featuring perfect kite breezes over the North Sea. Large kites in the shape of whales, octopuses, and dragons hovered calmly in the sky, while the kite ferry distributed children's surprises over the beach.
