In 2025, the town of Penzlin once again invited visitors to its annual Bürgerfest on the marketplace. The town festival thrives on the participation of the community: clubs, schools, and citizens contributed with program items.
Live music, cultural contributions, and a convivial get-together characterized the weekend. The 2025 Bürgerfest also marked the prelude to the special year 2026, when the festival will celebrate the double jubilee of the poet Johann Heinrich Voß under the motto "Voß 2026".
